The 2-phosphoglycolate metabolism in cyanobacteria comprises
three routes:
– the canonical C2 cycle (Plant and cyanobacteria)
– the glycerate pathway (cyanobacteria – specific)
– decarboxylation path (cyanobacteria – specific)
